It's always exciting (and scary and overwhelming!!) to unveil the cover of my latest project but I'm finally able to share it so here it is....

Cassidy Emmerich is reeling from a sudden, humiliating breakup. The last thing she wants to do is stick around and be reminded of her ex everywhere she goes. On impulse, she decides to spend the summer with her father and his family at their Jersey shore bed and breakfast. A different scene and a new job working as a camp counselor seem like the perfect recipe for forgetting Gavin as quickly as possible – not to mention avoiding him until he leaves for college. 

Bryan Lakewood is sick of nevers. You’ll never walk. You’ll never surf. You’ll never slow dance with a girl and have her put her head on your shoulder. Last year he made one false move – now he’s paralyzed and needs to use a wheelchair. But this summer, he’s back at his camp job and determined to reclaim his independence – and his confidence.

Cass is expecting two months of healing her broken heart.

Bryan is expecting a summer of tough adjustments.

Neither is expecting to fall in love.

The Secrets of Attraction Cover Reveal!

The cover for The Secrets of Attraction was revealed exclusively on Hypable.com a week ago.   ICYMI:  HERE IT IS!!!

Madison Pryce thinks she’s got everything figured out—she’s working on a portfolio for a summer art program, trying to keep up her grades, and hanging with her friends. Plus she has her hot boyfriend, Zach. They’re casual by choice—getting serious with a guy only complicates things. But then a visit from a family friend turns Maddie’s life upside down and throws all her beliefs into question.

Jesse McMann is still reeling from a breakup that shattered his heart and his band. He can’t seem to move on from his ex, and he hasn’t picked up his guitar in weeks. Then pride (and some goading from his bass player and fellow barista) forces him to find a new drummer—and the inspiration to write music again.

Kismet arrives in the unlikely form of Grayson Barrett, who tries out for Jesse’s band, and whose girlfriend is BFFs with the cute girl who orders a chai latte after yoga every Thursday: Maddie. What Jesse and Maddie thought they knew about the secrets of attraction and the rules of romance changes once they start falling for each other.

Would it be okay to say this cover makes me smile?  I love this story and I think the cover captures all the swoon!

COVER REVEAL: THE PROMISE OF AMAZING

Shortly before my wedding, my best friend’s mom pulled me aside and gave me some advice.  She told me that every so often I needed to stop and take in the moment, like really take it in, live it, breathe it, and create a mental snapshot because my wedding day would go by so quickly. It’s advice that I love and use frequently, because there are some moments in life that need to be savored.

This is how I feel about these months before my debut.  There are so many non-glamorous moments in writing, heck, most of writing is fairly non-glamorous — hours spent clicking away at the keyboard, personal hygiene taking a backseat to edits, yoga pants — that when a glamorous moment pops up, well you want to grab it and hold on for dear life.

This is one of those moments.  The one I’m going to grab and hold onto.
